Maybe it was your first pair of shiny black tap shoes, or the rich intoxicating smell of your baseball mitt.

In my case, a bright dark blue two wheeler bike gave my stomach the flip flops in delight.  Finally I had the freedom to go beyond my very own driveway!

I loved my shiny blue bike.  Sometimes I’d race down the block faster and faster feeling the cool breeze on my sweaty face letting my unruly curly hair whip furiously in all directions.

Eventually, I got good enough to do a few tricks like standing with one foot on one pedal, my other leg straight back in the air behind me.  The freedom was exhilarating.

Experiencing this kind of thrill in a romantic relationship – well, let’s just say I kissed a lot of frogs.

But I kept my heart open, and love eventually surprised me showing up later in my life.

I created this piece, to express some of the, playfulness, thrill, wonder and delight of two people open to love.

In between the dancing swirls of golds, bright yellows and whites, you might notice those people – ready to embrace the intoxicating, sometimes overwhelming, enchanting journey of “Falling In Love”.

May this piece inspire you to take a journey down memory lane remembering those times when your heart quickened and your body tingled with glee.
