Sometimes I feel like a spinning top turning endlessly focused on my “to do” list.

So often, May turns into June and passes right through July and August without me really stopping to acknowledge or celebrate the wonderful season of summer.

Recently, I received news that my close friend lost her 91 year old Mother  — who even with health challenges had just returned from taking a cruise in the Baltic countries and Russia.

Her passing gave me even more motivation to create opportunities for richer more meaningful moments – starting with this summer season.

When you think of summer, what comes to mind – outdoor BBQ with friends, lush green parks lounging under a large shade tree, attending an evening concert or walks by the beach just breathing in the salt sea air.  And those festivals and art fairs, discovering special treasures and corn on the cob!

I’ve begun by enjoying evening dinners in my beautiful flower filled backyard, immersing myself in art that moves me, and visits to the beach soaking in the silence after the crowd has left.

Jubilation embodies for me the lightness and frivolity of summer – I feel like I’m dancing between the rainbows of colors – sky blues, grass greens and swirls of rose oranges.

How will you enjoy your summer and recapture the playfulness, joy and spontaneity you had as a child?
